Walnut End Table by Founders Furniture

I've now seen enough furniture from Founders to recognize the serial number scheme and know this was made by Founders.  I've also seen some pieces with matching legs and drawer pulls (and also with his trademark cane doors) attributed to Jack Cartwright and am pretty confident this is one of his designs.  As with all the Founders pieces, the construction quality is evident with the use of solid walnut for the legs (ebonized at the factory), solid walnut edges on the case and beautiful veneers.  This table has a couple of useful, slim drawers for stashing remotes, magazines, coasters, etc.  It is finished on all sides so could be floated in a room or used as a coffee table.  I was tempted to strip the ebonizing from the legs to reveal the walnut but opted to leave it as it was originally built.  The table has been stripped sanded and refinished and now looks nearly new.
